Good Luck in Ireland girls...look forward to seeing some great photos.

For anyone that is going to Hemel, the Premier Inn in Hemel Hempstead Central has family rooms for around £60 for 2 nights at the moment. http://www.premierinn.com/en/hotelDetailsCheckAvailability!execute.action

Its the best deal that I can find at the moment.

and to all dancers who attended that Feis on Saturday, well organised, super venue, brilliant day was had by all. However I would like to add a note here that we did think that the dance teacher who actually danced infront of her dancers so they would not forget the steps, even did so with the older dancers and those in the championships, who also kept running backwards and forwards to the organisers, and the adjudicators, and also who was overheard by my husband, mother and myself making nasty comments about the O'Dwyer Academy, should be made to.

Op's pressed the submit instead of the return. sorry. As I was saying, this dance teacher was totally out of line and should be restricted from further Feis's until she has apologised for behaviour and uncalled for remarks. During the whole course of the day, the whole event flowed really well, and from the comments made by other mum's they really enjoyed it too.
We commend the O'Dwyer Academy for a great Feis and will look forward to returning to you next one.

I would also like to say well done to O'Dwyer Academy for a great Feis. It was well organised and a lovely venue.I also agree with the previous comment though regarding the dance teacher who jumped along and danced infront of her dancers even for the Open dancers should have been told to sit down. Teachers dancing to remind their dancers of the step they should be doing is unfair and is really a form of cheating. Adjudicators do not have eyes in the back of their heads so they cannot see what teachers are doing, but as a parent it is both distracting and unfair.

Thanks for the best feis i have ever been too, well organised and my little daughter who danced in the 5 & under for the first time, really loved her little trophy, medal and of course the cuddly toy. What a nice change to find a dance school who really want to inspire their dancers and these little touches do so much to encourage the children to dance. Thanks to the teachers who organised your feis and to all your parents who helped. Well done all of you. (we would like to come again next year or when you have another feis)

Hi all
well done to everyone who took part in the O'Dwyer Feis. Everyone did really well and all the competitors should feel really proud of themselves.

Perhaps some of the dance teachers in attendance should be proud of their dancers for taking part instead of disagreeing with the judges decisions and trying to influence/alter the marks given. As for removing sashes/medals and trophies from the tables, as well as taking a dancers sash off her because they disagreed with the results.

They should be throughly ashamed of themselves. What message does this send to their dance students ?

As one of the adjudicators at the O'Dwyer Feis I find it a bit disturbing what went on after I left to return home. I thought the day went well and all the kids should be thoroughly proud of their achievements. Its just a shame that not everyone thinks just about what the feis is about, and its the dancers!
Only the feis committee and the adjudicator should be dealing with the results and I think due to my level of education that I am capable of compiling results. Let feis organisers run their feis and let the kids have a fun day without an atmosphere or bitching!
