Essence of Ireland Palace Theatre Mansfield
11/12 March 2011
'Academy Dancer's were Outstanding'

Picture
The feedback from those who attended the show at the Palace Theatre and from the Cast of Essence of Ireland on our dancers performance was 'They Were Outstanding'.

All of us at the Academy are delighted, proud and really grateful to the dancers who took part, as well as parents, family and friends, who not only supported the show, but ran the dancers to and from rehersal, helped backstage, in dressing rooms, and escorted the dancers on the night, without such support the comments and feedback we received would not have been possible.
So on behalf of the Academy, may we say a great big thank you to everyone involved in this event Essesnce of Ireland Cast and Directors, Parents, Family, Friends and of course Our Dancers.

Class Feis      Please Support these events

Picture
Important Information for parents
regarding Class Feis.

The Academy runs Class Feis's to enable all dancers to compete against each other on a friendly competitive basis, thus helping to prepare dancers for competing at Open Feis level, creating confidence and understanding of the Feis world.  We would therefore, encourage Parents' to allow their children tor dance in these events because without Parent support there will be no Class Feis's and the dancers would not be able to gain such experiences

Dance Class Requirements:

Again the Academy must remind dancer that Dance outfits must be worn at all lessons.
Would dancers note that as from the 01 February you MUST wear the Academy
Dance outfit for lessons.  The outfit consists of navy skirts, gold polo shirts and navy/black cycle shorts with poodle sock and light/heavy dance shoes for the girls, boys should be in navy shorts, gold polo shirts and white socks with light/heavy dance shoes.  All dancers should also wear the Academy Navy Sweat-shirt with printed logo. If you do not have the correct outfit please see your dancer teacher as we have stocks of uniform available. You will no longer be able to dance if you do not have the correct dance wear at class as this is a health and safety issue which has been highlighted by the OAIDA and our insurers.

This outfit should also be worn by all dancers travelling to and from Feis's or Academy events with no exceptions so as to make identification of our dancers.
